Overview

Introduction

The Configure End to End Monitoring module provides you with the instruction and server hardware to develop your hands on skills in the defined topics. This module includes the following exercises:

  1. Configure Overrides
  2. Monitor Web Applications
  3. Create Synthetic Transaction for Web Monitoring
  4. Configure .NET Application Performance Monitoring (APM)
  5. Create Distributed Applications using the Distributed Applications Designer

Exercise 1 - Configure Overrides

In this exercise, you will learn the following in Microsoft System Center 2012:

  • Override a monitor using Groups
  • Override a monitor using groups

Exercise 2 - Monitor Web Applications

In this exercise, you will learn the following in Microsoft System Center 2012:

  • How to monitor web applications from client-side (outside-in) perspectives

Exercise 3 - Create Synthetic Transaction for Web Monitoring

In this exercise, you will learn the following in Microsoft System Center 2012:

  • How to create a synthetic transaction within System Center 2012 Operations Manager for web monitoring

Exercise 4 - Configure .NET Application Performance Monitoring (APM)

In this exercise, you will learn the following in Microsoft System Center 2012:

  • Configure .NET APM to monitor applications and web services hosted in IIS
