The Configure File Server Manager module provides you with the instruction and server hardware to develop your hands on skills in the defined topics. This module includes the following exercises:
- Install FSRM Role
- Configuring Disk Quotas
- Configuring File Screens
Exercise 1 - Install FSRM Role
In this exercise, you will install File Server Resource Manager (FSRM) a comprehensive suite of applications comprised of disk quota, file screen and storage reporting that an administrator will find very useful in managing storage in Windows Server 2012.
Exercise 2 - Configuring Disk Quotas
In this exercise, you will configure Quota Management. This is one of the main components of File Server Resource Management.
Exercise 3 - Configuring File Screens
Another useful feature in FSRM is File Screens. The File Screen features gives the administrator the capability to filter the type of files that network users can save on the servers.
