Exam Objectives
The following exam objectives are covered in this lab:
- 220-902: 2.4 Explain common TCP and UDP ports, protocols and their purpose (110 POP3, 143 - IMAP, 25 - SMTP)
- 220-902: 2.6 Install and configure basic mobile device network connectivity and email (Corporate and ISP email configuration, POP, IMAP4)
Lab time: It will take approximately 1 hour to complete this lab.
Exercise 1 - Configure POP3, IMAP4 and SMTP settings
In this exercise, you will setup e-mail download protocols like Post Office Protocol 3 (POP3) and Internet Mail Access Protocol 4 (IMAP4) and e-mail sending protocol called Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) using a Windows Mobile emulator.
This exercise will only show a sample configuration setting and because of limitations of the mobile device emulator, it will not show an actual e-mail retrieval from a messaging system.
