I would like to thank Cybrary for providing us with useful lectures. I did the exam yesterday and I passed getting a score of 865 (or something like that)

I had 51 question and a time limit of 1 hr 45 mins. I had 3 simulations, which I don’t think I got them all right.

Well a got a pass and that’s what matters 🙂

Let me know if some of you guys need help with the exam. I would gladly help you =)

    Have a good weekend!

congrats!!! Which other materials did you use in order to prepare yourself?

do you have a packet tracer lab collection or something like that?

    regards!

Hi everyone and many thanks for your messages. Highly appreciated 🙂

@pedrogc I watched all the lectures of course, but those are not enough to get a pass. I did all the sims using Cisco Packet Tracer and also found some online as well. That helped me to memorize the commands especially when it comes to routing.

There’s also few CBT Nuggets online which are worth checking.

    Good luck to you all!

Congratulations, I hope to be posting the same very soon 😉

Did you find anything (topic-wise) in the exam that you felt you weren’t really prepared for?

    Many thanks!

@Augz all the 51 questions where taken from the syllabus so not really no. However, when I was going through some questions which I found online, there were a couple of questions related to Netflow and I don’t remember Netwflow being mentioned in the lectures. Or else I did not pay attention when it was mentioned. On the other hand, there were no questions during the exam related to Netflow.

@cardonadgmail-com Interesting. NetFlow was mentioned, but only in passing. In a previous exam sitting I had a question on it, though I can assure you I had no idea about the answer. As far as I can tell, no one teaches it in the CCNA courses, but you’re supposed to know at least something about it.

Since you brought them up though, may I inquire as to where you had these questions you find online? I’ve been looking for something to test my readiness and have found a few, but would like to add to the list. 🙂

What syllabus are you referring to?

The simulator I had for the exam was able to type in the first few characters and press tab and the whole command will appear. But I read on other forums that sometimes this is not available and that you need to learn all the command. So I guess they’re not all the same. Better be prepared knowing all the commands. Focus on routing mainly.

    Hope this helps.
