    Hello together

I am totally new to this site.
First a Little bit about me:
I have been working in System and Networkadministration for about 6 years now. I changed to the Company I am working at about two month ago. A part of my work will be pentesting. I have been reading articles, testing with Kali Linux, checking out other distros and doing Research nearly all day.

I am thinking about purchasing a test lab. Is it worth it? Logically I built my own test lab, but my ressources aren’t that high.
What do you guys think about the “Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) Virtual Lab”
Or could you give me some information about other labs?
Or isn’t it worth it purchasing a lab?

Thanks for your time and sorry for my bad english

    Kind regards

if you want to download vulnerable machines for free and practice in your own virtual environment:

If you want to practices for free in a VPN network:

If you want a really challenging experience go for the OSCP Certification

I do not know the Virtual Lab of CEH

    thank you @breuermar!

I’m currently taking Elearnsecurity’s “penetration testing student” course. So far I really like it, it covers most of the basics(including programming in both C and Python), they aren’t that expensive when compared to other IT courses. I highly recommend them. If you feel you already have enough knowledge you could try their “penetration testing professional” course. More expensive, and I hear it’s good. I’ll be doing that one as soon as I finish and obtain the EJPT cert. Many people on their say they go EJPT>ECPPT>OCSP because OSCP is pretty difficult to obtain, I bought the OSCP a while back and realized i was missing some foundational knowledge. So now doing EJPT and really like it so far.
