Okay, so our objectives for this lesson is virtual printing. We're gonna talk about different ways that you can print. Virtually virtual printing consist of printing toe a file print, a pdf print, X P s print to image and three D printing a new technology
so that's going to start
virtual printing. Virtual printing is a way of printing, but there's no physical output. The output is in the form of electronic file
and virtual printing. There's no paper, no anchor toner because even the printer itself is virtual. The output files from the virtual printer or personal printing could be sent, are shared across the network, e mailed and digitally store so very flexible capability. Here it's portable on no physical printer needed. No paper or no ink needed. Very
portable. Very convenient
on this is a different type of virtual praying technology.
So first look at printing to file printing to a file is a Windows option that's been around for a long time. The printer file option is used when you don't want to print to a physical printer, you may have a situation where you maybe wanna prints create a file but need it printed somewhere else at a different location where they're at home and need to print work or vice versa.
You can use this option to creative output that could be prints somewhere else. Printing the file is saving the file on an output that a printer will understand and printing it later. This is sometimes called additive manufacturing. Now, instead of wasting time and creating a material our product out of raw material, cutting it down, you can use a three D printer to design it. Print it out, and you can look at it to make changes and do the same thing again.
So it's quickening the Koran prototyping process.
Also, files could be sent anywhere and printed. You can create a three D image file to be printed and send it to someone else, and they could print on their three D printer. So this is a new technology that is being seeing benefits all across different levels of business is not just any office but in manufacturing, in design
anywhere. There is a physical product that need to be modeled in prototype
three D printing can come in and be a key resource for that.
