Hi, guys. Welcome to course. Wrap up next steps in lean six Sigma education. I'm Catherine Nick Iver, and today you'll have an awareness of lean six Sigma training progression in an understanding of future lean six Sigma educational outcomes and expectations.

And you were very excited to continue learning about all of the different ways that you can implement process improvement in your in your office in your workspace. So with that, the next step for continuing your education

Your next step is gonna take a lean six sigma green belt course. So the expectations for lean 16 my green belt is that you're going to have a deep understanding of the process improvement tools and how to use them.

Generally, the way that we think of green belts is these are going to be subject matter. Experts or processed leaders who are do not aging, process improvement full time but can run projects so they were aware of tools. Generally the scope of their projects stays within their process.

are able to independently run projects if they have a black belt to bounce ideas off of or mentor them, If they don't, that's okay, too. But Greenville is very focused on tools.

So then, once you complete your green belt and you either get certified or you decide that you're gonna wait for the big kahuna and goto black belt, you're then gonna take your black belt course. So black belt is your mastery course. So you're going to understand lean six Sigma philosophy very, very deeply,

and you're gonna understand the tools very deeply. So when we start talking about mastery,

we're talking about things like regressions and influential statistics. You're going to be able to teach the tools you're going to be able to run very large, complex projects. So generally, when you think about black belt, the smallest scope of a project that they're going to d'oh

generally most departments have multiple processes with them. You're going to start looking at running them for departments. You generally see black belt who support functional areas. So, like, for example, when I was a black belt, I worked under operations. That was really my specialty. When I started leading teams, I would have signed them like

finance, customer care, sales, that sort of thing. They start becoming subject matter experts in her own right because of the exploration that they do with the processes.

The other expectation of a lean six Sigma black bolt is the mentoring component, so you will be able to mentor yellow and green belt. So what this means is you will be able to as an outside perspective, give them insight and suggestions on ways to make their work

that external perspective that allows you to suggest maybe you don't want to do a fishbone diagram, perhaps for this specific project of five wise would be more appropriate or an affinity diagram. Because of this, there are

dozens of lean six Sigma tools, and when you're agreeing about your warning, the tools and when you're a black bolt, you're starting to differentiate the tools as faras pros and cons. And when you want to use which and why you will for both of these, we will go very deep into data analysis.
