Installing the Ram and troubleshooting RAM. So let's go and jump right in.

So first to start off a Little Ram installation overview.

So what you want to do is you want to go directly on top of the slots in the stall, your ram that way So we'll see the slot side that I have right here that I'm gonna be installing my bank around in this first slot right here. And you could notice that the tabs are are down,

they're locked in so that memory module is ready to go. So let's do that again. So I wanna pull these tabs down just like this, and like so and I slapped my memory out so those tabs lock that memory module in place. So again I go straight down into those slots

troubleshooting steps here. If you were to boot your computer up and, of course, put a monitor and keyboard and power supply on his motherboard and you booted up and see that it doesn't recognize the memory module, then you know it's probably not seated correctly.

It could be just a few other things. It could be the wrong type if you didn't consult your manufacturers Motherboard documentation. If this was the only ram in this board early memory module on this board and you did not seek this properly,

some laptops. You may have to remove the entire board here at the bottom, but this particular model, we're just gonna be removing this door right here.

Okay, there you have it. That is the memory model that's inside of that laptop there, and what you want to do on these laptops. And if you can see, they're still those two tabs of two notches a little bit differently on a laptop that it is on a desktop, but it's too still the same principle.

memory models in place. And if you remember from our earlier lesson that this is the S o dim or the sodium, so those two notches are holding that in place. So if I wanted to remove or it's that install Mlle. Or I would take these two notches and pullem

Windows operating systems or other operating systems into to tell you how much ram that you do have now installed into that particular system. RAM installation tips Consult your motherboard manufactured for your systems RAM type and limitations. Again, I can't stress enough. This is very, very important that you do consult your manufacture of your motherboard

So if you're some channels, maybe a B C D and maybe a,

B, B, C, C, D, d, and so forth where maybe 010 to 03 and depending on the configuration, if you had a dual channel triple channel, you'd have that install matching sets of RAM to in the B Channel two in the Sea Channel and so forth.

Our main problem that can happen to us far is when you have problems with your system down the starting ram, or you may get beat Coats watch when your system boot up to see if the system was properly installed again. When you or it may

If you're not seeing the amount of RAM that you installed most of the time, it's a simple installation air. It could be a channel problem. Like I said before, it could be mismatched or not properly field. It could be a speed issue, meaning the rated speeds of the memory Mountains may be different or mismatch, so make sure you check that as well.
