And we'll also look at how the clean installation method works.

We've collected all the details about the device that we planned to perform the upgrade on and performing insulation on.
We have good backups, their current, and they're tested. Now we're ready to plan the actual installation.

Now that 32 bit architecture goes back to the Windows and T days. Remember, from our chart in the nineties,
when we talk about a 64 bit address space,
we say that technically two to the 64

Two billion terabytes of memory could be addressed by such a computer compared to just a measly four gig of memory that the 32 bit computer could address. You know, of course, no computer like that exists, and furthermore, there number of physical logical in artificial limits that keep us at a max
for the virtual memory space of about
eight terabytes or so for for the highest class when those 10 enterprise
again. Our point here is that it's wiser to select and use the 64 bit capabilities of Window 10 in the cases where we can support it
and particularly helpful in demanding applications and memory intensive applications.
Now we need to determine if we can upgrade our computer in place,
or we need to reform the wipe and reinstall method that is the clean install method.
Now we prefer the former because of former
well, install or upgrade the existing version, whatever that is, toe Windows 10
without damaging user files without
requiring the need for programs every reinstalled and such.
The clean install method is just that we clear the disk and start all over again from scratch.
if we're installing because our existing Windows 10 computer, for instance, is acting up,
the best option in this case is the reset feature that's already built into Windows.
You can reset the application, and you can even aunt to save user files. User accounts
programs would certainly need to be reinstalled. In many cases, it repairs a lot of problems. Of course, if the reset feature
we'll need to reform that clean install, then to recover the system
again. If we're just upgrading from a previous version of Windows Toe Windows 10 or we're doing a reinstall it when those 10 just straight out,
the existing architecture. For instance, if we're at Windows 7 32 bit version of home
and we want to upgrade to the home edition of Windows 10
if we go to 64 bit to take advantage of the features that come along with 64 bit architectures,
we'll have to do a clean install, have to
reinstall the applications or store the data, that kind of thing.
If we're going to downgrade the addition, that is.
For example, we go from Windows eight professional
that requires a clean install a cz Well,
otherwise, if we're gonna stay on the same bit architecture and we're staying on the same or even upgrading our windows addition,
we can perform the in place upgrade.
And, of course, if we have problems within the place upgrading fails,
we can still off to reform the clean install
addition. Assessing the reasons for upgrading. We need determine that this target computer can survive the intensive in place upgrade
comfortable when we know that the history of exploration, this computer are fine, and we should just go ahead and plan. Then for the in place upgrade
again, we know that a clean install could be opted for if we have any kind of problems with the in place upgrade.
Now, if you know this computer has old configuration, it's behind on its patches or driver updates, or there's some others issues. It really just would be best to perform the clean, install the wipe and reinstall that's best for
for that machine or even better, maybe wiser, just to retire this computer and replace it with a new one.
In any event, we want to document the plan and schedule enough time.
