In this lesson, we analyze the difference between the different types of transmission, analog and digital and also the differences between the two different connector types, parallel and serial. To effectively contrast the two, we'll diagram how each signal type travels and explain the impact those patterns have on the actual transmission itself. For example, analog signals travels in waves and digital does not, so we'll explain why the conversion process cannot use a transposition process to translate between the two types. With the serial and parallel connection, we'll diagram the ports to demonstrate how those signals transmit and explain the sequencing in which it happens.
