Video Description

IPv6 EIGRP Lab In this lab we demonstrate how to configure IPv6 EIGRP. Unlike with IPv6 OSPF, configuring IPv6 EIGRP requires going directly in the routing process. So to begin you'll learn what IPv6 command to launch, what component you need to specify as well as why you need to specify no shut down in the Fast Ethernet interface.

Okay, Next we're going to I'm going to show you the configurations for E I g r p with I p b six.
00:10
So we're gonna go once again into rather one Now, this time around, there's a bit of a change. I actually have to go into the routing process by saying I p v six router e i g r p 100 I'm picking the autonomous system
00:26
I d as 100 nice, easy number to remember.
00:31
And then I'm actually gonna have to say no. Shut down to the routing process to enable it.
00:38
That's the only difference that we're going to see
00:41
between us pf Version three and I p b 60 a d r p. Next, I'm going to go to my fast Internet interface
00:50
and very similar to always be a version three. I'm going to say I p v six
00:59
e i g r p
01:00
100.
01:02
Then I'm gonna go to my cereal link
01:04
and say
01:06
I p b six e g r p 100
01:11
takes it out.
01:11
Let's go to a round or two a one
01:19
and I'm gonna go into my writing process again. Router
01:23
or a TV six rather i p v six router e e g r p 100. No shutdown
01:33
and then go into my interface and enable it on the interface.
01:40
Then i p v six e i g r p
01:45
on autonomous system I d.
01:48
And almost immediately you see that the neighbor ship has gone up. So if I check show I p v six
01:55
b i g r p and neighbor,
01:57
if I could type g r p neighbors
02:01
and I see
02:05
that my neighbor has been picked and it picked the link Local address for my neighbor address. The F E 80 address is the link Local address.
02:15
Okay,
02:17
Next I look at my i p v six routing table,
02:23
so show I B V six route
02:27
and once again d denotes that this is an e e g r p route, and I'm getting it from Router one,
02:36
and
02:37
this is router ones. Link local address so we can go confirm that it's four c 70. The last field is foresee. 70
02:47
going to rather one,
02:52
and I say you
02:54
new show I p v six i nt brief.
03:00
I see that serial 00 zero's link. Local address is four c 70.
03:07
So remember I said that
03:08
routing protocols R I P v six rounding photo Carl's pick as their next top address. The Link. Local address of the next top router.
03:17
So you see, See that e a g r p is doing just that or i p v 60 a. D r p is doing just that
03:24
all the other than that, you don't need to know the intimate details off the SPF Version three and e a g r p with HPV six. So this concludes the configuration part off I p v six USB FND a job.
