Welcome back to the county. A project plus P k +0004 This is your instructor on Barrow. Hilario.
We're going now into the project execution.
What entails a project fusion? Well, this actually where things get done,
we're gonna look at the different components off the execution stage. Gonna look at the development off the team. Very important part of the execution stage.
Different levels of quality that is being managed as well as communications which are part of the execution stage. And finally, goods and service is management.
So going back to our project lifecycle image the execution stage is a sui said where things get done,
it provides feedback to the planning. And he's also monitored
to make sure that the different tasks
that were planned during the planning stage are being executed in the sequence and producing the results that the world bright breakdown structure planned for
so execution us, we can see has different levels and stages
a ce. We compare the different stages of the projects life cycle. We can see that initiation stage has some sort of emphasis at the beginning of the project, then slows down towards the end when he becomes a closing.
The planning stage has a huge emphasis towards the beginning and then right before the execution. But he provides feedback. Muttering on control are also continue to be part of the planning and executing, and I'll do provide feedback and provide a readjustments asked necessary.
And finally, the closing stage is the one where we wrap it up.
so the execution stage as well as we said before is
where everything gets done and he's providing the different tools and actions to ensure that activities are completed. *** planned.
Um, in may sound silly, but why is important execution? Well, all the stakeholders wants something. They want to see results. They want to see that their investment, that there, whatever they're backing and sponsoring and protecting, is really
moving towards the direction
off. What is being pitched to do?
There are four key stages in elements off the execution. One is dealing and working with teams,
managing quality, managing communications and finally managing the different goods and services that are going to be used throughout the project.
Let's start with the team
teams. They don't come out off off the know where they are different resources and people that I brought from different departments. They have different skills, different personalities, different goals and in waves, off handling politics.
So there is a life cycle for a team. The first stages of forming stage,
the former station where you gather and vet out. The different resource is that you will want to be using and working with.
The storming is where everyone is huddled up and the information about the project and about the different outcomes is shared and assigned. And this is where they all provide feedback. And they collaborate tores the execution of the project in terms off concept,
the norming and performing this two stages.
The Norman one is when they start working in us, we may have experienced ourselves at the beginning off any new task. We feel little inadequate. We don't feel us us a ce practiced so. But as we develop more experience,
the norming, the little challenging,
um, ways for us to perform, get
or to execute, get improved, they get better. So then we reach the stage of performing, and once we have completed the project, then we have the journey or the disbanding off the group.
The next stage is managing. Quality quality is very critical for for the project. Quality has has to be managed through the plan through the execution and verified at the monitoring continuously.
Quality is, that doesn't mean it means that the
task in the world breakdown structure is revolving a resulting with producing a acceptable
UM product that could be used forward down the road
Quality planning, which is in the planning stage, is where we observe and analyze and evaluate which standards we need to follow, whether because of a regulatory requirement or maybe because we want to comply, or we want to follow and pursue some other standard or framework
to make sure that our product has
some recognition of their.
The assurance is part of the monitoring and executing this prickly, evaluating
how our results are being delivered to make sure that they are consistent
and they are consistent with what was planned. And front of the control is matching this results against the quality centers that we have decided to implement.
Information dissemination is another key area identifies the different individuals or groups that need to be informed or kept informed regarding the project the execution and the different stages and challenges that have been met throughout the execution.
So first we need to identify these groups. We need to find out who this takes. Holders are
how frequently they need to be aware off. Is it just what it happens or is? They need to have a weekly briefing or a monthly briefing. How much detail?
What media am I going to use? Is it finding a verbal casual conversation via email? So I have to print a report,
and then the level of detail of this report is also important.
So again, we have to identify the different individuals and groups,
how frequently they feel comfortable or how frequently we believe is adequate.
There could be a discrepancy here because sometimes it's better to, um,
comfortable side here. If you overload your group with information, he may numb them out, and they may start missing out on the real intent off this,
the media, as we said email phone posted on a Web site so they can retrieve themselves whenever they're available and the amount of detail that they would like to see.
Finally, we have the procurement management. These are the goods and services that will help us execute the project,
complete the project. These deals with finding who has these resource is
requesting in negotiating cost and times for these resources. Then we need also to negotiate a location. Should I buy everything ahead off? Should I just get, you know, deliveries on a weekly basis? Where are they? Where's it gonna be delivered?
Am I gonna be storing?
Um and I'm gonna be having surplus just in case I run out.
This is part of the strategy. And finally, the contract
the pointing where you agree with a number of suppliers into this, um, items.
session, what have we learned? We have learned
about the execution stage and how?
